hey again.

I began my professional career as a secondary Geography teacher, working in both London and Doha. I paused teaching in a classroom, to enhance my geographical knowledge through personal and formal research, incorporating a creative lens to observe the world through. I landed on documentary filmmaking and found an MA which feels crafted by the gods and has enabled me to discover new and interesting perspectives on key geographical and environmental issues. My passion for sharing knowledge with young people remains, and I desire to highlight knowledge from a range of sources, which inspires a love and understanding of the Earth and that may evade the traditional classroom. I began exploring this through a YouTube Channel, and I am in the (slow) process of developing more work under the name ‘My Home, Our World’. Along the way, I became a mother and so I now navigate my creative journey alongside my husband and son.

I am extremely grateful to have discovered a Master’s programme that encompasses so many of my interests, and I feel so blessed to be uncovering my life’s path. I have stepped into being an artistic filmmaker, interested in geography, ecology, the more than-human-world, and other ways of knowing the world. I now consider myself a multi-discplinary artist, filmmaker and educator, on a mission to broaden the ways that we view our relationships with the Earth. My journey is ongoing, I am grateful for what I have created and I look forward to all the projects that I am yet to make, as I continue to hone my craft.
